SFW Likes
These are some ‘tropes’ I really like, so if you pick any one of them, you’ll be completely and utterly set. If you have another big brain idea that doesn’t fall into a DNW, I will probably love it!
- Cottagecore
- What I really love in cottagecore is the slowing down of life. The feeling of every small moment being so important to the story and the setting. The connection it creates between them. I love the farm life but prefer it to be fairly small, focusing more on the comfort coziness that comes with cottagecore. I love the little towns around the cottage, the feeling of community. The handiness in the garden and the small home filled with love.
- I also love when magic is included in Cottagecore. I love witches and wizards, and something soft with magic, or a wizard and a mortal. If it’s just one character, maybe finding magic and learning to use it. Using magic to make things easier on themselves when taking care of their newly found cottage.
- I say cottagecore like in the middle of a forest, but this can easily be a cottage on a beach or another location like the mountains. The main thing is about the calmness and softness of life. Though if it is on the beach, I absolutely expect playing in the water and building sandcastles.
- This could also include a trip to a cottage rather than living there. I had a fic planned where someone was experiencing burn out and someone took them on a trip to relax. This would be equally delightful.

- I love academia, I love colleges and high schools. I love the ideal life in these. Happy for aging down or up to fit in either of these. In particular, I love them studying, taking classes, extra curricular activities (including sport teams), going out on study dates or being in the study hall. With college, I love dorm life along with all the other things that were mentioned above.
- Boarding schools are particularly fun. Something about being trapped in a location with people with very little escape and a lot of supervision. I particularly love secret dating and more going on, especially if it’s against the rules. But I’m also fond of friendships built because of such close proximity with other people.
- Dark academia is also great. The mysterious library, the haunted halls, maybe a mystery to solve. I love the feeling that dark academia gives. But not like all serious and dark all the time, I really love the quiet friendly moments that come with it. I like when there’s a murder mystery aspect to it, finding the dead body, finding clues and solving a mystery. The YA mystery book Truly Devious fits this well; I enjoyed the fact that it was YA and could not get too gruesome, so the descriptions couldn’t be too strong and visceral, but also the fact that it pushed the boundary of how serious and deadly it could get. I enjoy the supernatural aspects of Dark Academia too, so ghosts (friendly or neutral ghosts, not angry ghosts). I would also enjoy a Ghost/Human romance going on here too!
- It’s okay if bad things happen in here (risk of expulsion or other lower punishments, being lost/trapped somewhere, feeling uneasy or being followed, pranks) but I would prefer it not to end at a bad or uncertain end, and would like things to end up at bare minimum okay at the end (if at risk for expulsion, maybe instead a punishment while still being able to study at the school, for example).
- LOVE magic schools. omg I had a plot for a magic school and that was where it stopped but if you wanted to play with magic schools, I would love it very much.
- This isn’t directly related to schools but I don’t really have anywhere else it can fit, I love stories that happen on trains. Maybe a train going to a boarding school, or somewhere else. Meeting people on a train, maybe falling in love or gaining new friends on a train. A train story I really love is the movie Candle Snow and Mistletoe (which you can watch here in 30 minutes). I think it’s so sweet and so wonderful and honestly really funny. The vibe of this story is great for this AND for the next prompt.
- As listed above, the movie Candle Snow and Mistletoe is very much one of my favorite Holiday movies, and I love the feel of it. I love them going off and saving the holidays through songs and kindness. The humor and joy and love in that movie is so strong that it feels necessary to ask for something very similar to that. Also on a train!
- In terms of Christmas traditions/prompts, some ideas include: Christmas Tree/House decorating, caroling, present buying/Christmas shopping, going to see the neighbourhood lights, visiting with family and friends, watching a Christmas movie, wrapping presents.
- One of my favorite past times is going to see a large light display set up somewhere like a zoo or a large park where people can walk around and have warm drinks and enjoy the lights and other activities.
- This can also be combined with a cottagecore vibe too, and I’m quite fond of cottagecore feels around this time of year. Basically if you can fit cottagecore into it, I’m quite pleased with that.
- I love when someone who’s feeling grumpy gains Christmas cheer through friends and loved ones. Maybe going out to events and seeing the trees and visiting craft fairs/Christmas markets. All in terms of getting their friend feeling cheerful.
- Traveling for the holidays! By train! Love trains. Trains are fantastic. You should add a train.
- In terms of non-Holidays, I love the winter season. The snow, the lights, the grey-ish sky at night. The traveling and the coziness. Fireplaces and woodchopping, cooking and baking. All the cozy feeling things that go on around this time.
- I’m very fond of New Year’s Eve parties. Especially as a way for two characters to kiss at midnight. Though I also love characters making resolutions and looking forward to the new year and discussing the past year.
- Also incredibly fond of New Years Day traditions like going out for a meal together with friends and family.
- With Halloween, I love the decorating, the pumpkin picking/making jack-o-lanterns, the costume trying-on, handing out candy, watching Halloween movies, and things of that nature. Friendly spooks are always welcome here.
- I also love some light supernatural elements. Vampires and werewolves and witches are the ones I like! I love a good Vampire/Werewolf romance too and always welcome that sort of AU in my reading. I also love the supernaturals and humans being romantic or even just friends. I’m very fond of Sabrina the Teenage Witch (the 90s/2000s sitcom) style of magic and fun.
- One of my favorite episodes of Sabrina the Teenage Witch is ‘To Tell A Mortal’ where Sabrina can tell mortals about her magic powers and that she’s a witch without consequence but they’ll forget at the end of the day. I would love something like this to play out with requested characters, to have one day where they learn about their friend’s (or romantic partner’s) powers and then be forced to forget again.
- When it comes to Autumn in general, I love characters getting bundled up to go out for fun fall adventures. Corn mazes, and fall fairs are quite fun for me, along with the yummy treats that go with them. I am a big lover of Pumpkin Spice Lattes and would love for them to appear in this sort of scenario, even if a character would hate them. That would be even funnier to me.
- Very fond of Thanksgiving as a holiday, spending time with friends and family and food. The cooking for the event, the having everyone over, the surprise announcements that come with it (wedding? dating? baby? dropping out of college and pursuing the dream of traveling the world on a budget?). The stress or preparing but also the relaxation that comes after the event
- A lot of things for Christmas/Winter can easily be in Autumn/Halloween, like baking, and wood chopping and fireplaces. I’m very fond of these whenever they can fit in. I’m also quite fond of Christmas sneaking up on the Fall/Halloween times and characters picking it out and getting annoyed by it. It’s very hilarious to me.
- This season feels the most cottagecore to me, so a lot of what I picture here is just very cottagecore adjacent. Combining the two seems like a match made in heaven.
- With this in particular, the whole premise on this is people getting closer to one another in such close proximity with one another. This is a great place for the classic romantic trope of ‘there was only one bed’, which is a personal favorite. Also I love when two people who dislike each other are forced to go on a trip together (enemies/rivals to lovers appeal!!!).
- I have such a fondness of knowing of places that people love to visit or stay in. Whenever I travel, I love to look at all the cool and fascinating things and I love when characters get to do that too. Maybe they stay close to some mountains or check out the beach that they park right next to. Maybe there’s a cool museum that they’re close to and they want to visit or maybe they’re just traveling and stopping where it seems cool to stop by.
- One particular manga I enjoy that features this is ‘Go With The Clouds, North by Northwest’. I love how majestic it feels, even in the writing. I love that it is a person out of their normal habitat, living somewhere else and taking care of work there. I love the care and love that the author put into learning about Iceland culture. I don’t expect an extreme amount of detail on any particular place, but I love the idea of a character leaving home and going some place where they have just a small connection to, or even no connection, and learning to live their lives in a new place, while also sleeping out of their vehicle.
- Van Life was something I read up on a lot because I love the idea of a character living out of a van or another vehicle, traveling across the country and staying where ever they can. It also fits into the cottagecore vibes I mentioned earlier because I love how chill it ends up being. Everything is at their own pace and there’s no rush to do anything that they don’t want to do.
- I like when they plant down their roots for a moment and don't know if they'll stay or go. Maybe they're close enough to the other person to stay or maybe they'll keep moving on and it was a fling. Both are delightful to me (so long as there's an equal understanding between them).
- I love Mpreg!!! This isn't strictly Omegaverse and am happy for Mpreg in any scenario, but understand that I love Mpreg a ridiculous amount! The more the better! I like all stages from breeding to giving birth, and everything in between.
- I prefer in my poly pairings that only one person is pregnant, and not multiple people.
- Cis and/or Trans Mpreg are both equally good, don’t think about where the kid comes from, and please no butt baby jokes.
- I am also good with a variety of sizes and amount of kids growing in said belly.
- However, I would prefer no Kid-fic. Just pregnancy/giving birth.
- I’m good with all sorts of emotions on being pregnant (Unhappy, unsure, pleased, elated, and all sorts of inbetween).
- The character doesn’t need to keep/raise the child, so choosing to give the child up for adoption is fine!
- I prefer in my poly pairings that only one person is pregnant, and not multiple people.
- I won't go super deep into it but I love Taylor Swift. Her songs, albums and the tours. If you wanted to write something based on them or draw a character in one of her costumes or an album cover, I'd love that!

Art Likes/Prompts
- So, I'll say I'm not quite sure what I like in terms of art. I like seeing characters doing things in canon and in AUs, and I like seeing fun scenarios being drawn out. I just know when I like art of my faves I get very excited. I love sketchiness and full color. One thing I like is things with a splash of color (maybe like a shirt or just hair). It just feels so striking to see.
- I love clothing changes. If you wanted to draw a character in a change of outfits, that would be so cool. I really love when it’s seasonal changes like warm sweaters for fall, cozy casual winter pajamas, or beach wear. All are appealing! Semi-formal wear, wedding outfits, completely casual, maybe an outfit they wore if they were in a different career than they currently are.
Gender/Sexuality Comments/Headcanons
- I do have preferences on trans configurations on characters, and will let it be known! Everyone being cis is also fine, as well as various bottom configurations. Don’t be afraid to mix and match down there, it’s really fun to see.
- For trans character, I prefer if the story was not fully about them being trans. Like it can be mentioned, and discussed, but it shouldn’t be the story. Also same with dysphoria.
- I love gender euphoria though! Like enjoying how they look in their new gender. That’s always delightful. I love joy.
- Top surgery is optional, so breasts? Love.

WHY I LOVE IT: There’s something so special and powerful about finding something you love in life for the first time and Yatora going through this is so incredibly wonderful. The characters are well fleshed out and well loved. Yatora is determined but self conscious and he’s very cute and charming. I love Yakumo’s spunky personality and Hashida adoration for the arts. Overall, this is a masterpiece of a manga to me.
